MEN'S MINISTRIES
RICHARD ALLEN BROTHERHOOD
The Richard Allen Brotherhood (RAB) is composed of three (3) or more persons, formed for the purpose of encouraging brothers of all ages to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. To develop and enhance the body of the RAB membership, the brothers participate in prayer, evangelism, Christian Stewardship, Christian spiritual service, Christian social service, and encourage the brothers of First A.M.E. Church to learn the history, aims and beliefs of the A.M.E. Church.
The RAB meet every 3rd Saturday at 8:00am.

FAME SOUTH Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry of First AME recognizes that God is a purposeful creator, and all of existence is shaped by His divine plan. Our ministry was established to offer men and boys from First AME and the broader community:

Foster a deeper understanding of Christ and His message among the men of FAME, enabling us to both know Him and share His teachings.

Engage in heartfelt service to God alongside other men, reaching out to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Uncover our unique purpose as ordained by God through fellowship, service initiatives, educational programs, workshops, classes, conferences, book discussions, and more.

Fortify bonds between men and with God, nurturing stronger relationships within the community.

Explore the profound relevance of God's Word in the context of meaningful human connections.

Release the anointing of God, lifting burdens and breaking yokes through His divine power.

Richard Allen Brotherhood Scholarship
Man-Up: Future Leaders Scholarship Award
The Richard Allen Brotherhood of Seattle at First African Methodist Episcopal Church proudly offers the Man-Up: Future Leaders Scholarship Award. This scholarship supports African American males in their pursuit of higher education, whether at a college or trade school.
Scholarship Details:
$1,500 Award: Open to African American male high school seniors who will be attending college or trade school in Fall 2025.
$1,000 Award: Open to African American males currently enrolled in college or trade school.
Who Was Richard Allen?

Richard Allen was a minister, educator, writer, and one of America’s most active and influential Black leaders. In 1794, he founded the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME), the first independent Black denomination in the United States. His first AME Church was established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements:
Open to African American male high school seniors and young men currently attending college or trade school.You do not have to be a member of FAME Church to apply.Scholarships are for the Fall of 2025.Students may be taking classes online or on campus as full-time students.
Total Scholarship Funds: $2,500
