Springs of Living Water Church of Restoration

Joseph Jimerson is the son of the Lee White Lewis and Shelton Jimerson, both of whom are present with the Lord.  He was born, raised and educated primarily in Riverside, California.  Saved and baptized at an early age, he was brought up in the admonition of the Lord at Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. L.B. Moss.  After High School he furthered his education at the University of Southern California, earning a B.S. in Engineering.  He was hired by Proctor and Gamble after graduating in 1976 and moved to Camarillo, California.
 LaTanya (Robinson) Jimerson is the daughter of Virgie Chambers Robinson and Richard Wright Robinson both now present with the Lord.  She was born in Seattle, Washington; however, she was raised and educated primarily Pasco.  She was saved, baptized at an early age and brought up in the admonition of the Lord at St. James C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. H.P. and Lady Gertrude Hawkins.  In 1976 she moved to Ventura, California, where she soon met Joseph.
 On June 18, 1977, Joseph and LaTanya where joined in the Covenant of Marriage.  In this union they share four (4) children: Joseph II (JJ), Lanaya, Leah, Lana, respectively.  They are also proud parents by marriage to Deacon Jerry Ramsey (Lanaya), Tobe Onuoha (Leah) and Nicole Jimerson. They also have four grandchildren.  In addition to their biological children, they serve as Godparents to three: Celeste Philson, Ean Rutledge, and Joseph Manuel Gardner and serve as spiritual parents to a host of sons and daughters, as well as spiritual grandparents to many.
 Their church history is lengthy and responsibilities vast, so we’ll deal with only the last 20 years.  After moving to Waldorf in late 1990, they united with Union Bethel A.M.E. Church, Brandywine, MD in March 1991.  In January 1993, LaTanya officially accepted her call to ordained ministry under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Harry L. Seawright.  Joseph served faithfully on the Steward Board, in Finance, and with the male mentors, Seeds of Abraham.  In October 1995, they were led of God to unite with the non-denominational fellowship of God Is In Control in Waldorf, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor Rodney Walker.  It was there that both Joseph and LaTanya were extensively trained and prepared for the pastorate.  They were ordained Elders and were charged as Overseers of Media Ministry, Children’s Church and Sunday School.  LaTanya was also charged with Armorbearer Training, Ministerial training, New Converts/New Members Training, Graphic Designing and Minister of Music.
 Upon temporarily relocating to New York in late 1998, they united with Apostle Gregory D. and Apostle-Elect Junie R. Kelley of now The Covenant Ministries Of Restoration Inc., in Covenant, for Pastoral care, and Apostolic covering for the family and the embryonic work of Springs Of Living Water Ministries, Inc.  In July 1999, they were consecrated as Pastors under the study and tutelage of Apostle Kelley.
 Upon returning to Waldorf, on July 9, 2000, the doors of Springs Of Living Water Church Of Restoration sprung open.  In the 9-1/2 years, they moved from their livingroom to the basement, to meeting in a hotel meeting room to a 1300 square feet building, to a 4200 square ft. building and now in search of more space! This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes….To God be the glory!
